FEEDBACK:

"It's been great watching my son play hockey again. After quitting the game a couple of years ago he is back playing and enjoying the sport he loves. Thank you for putting this league together."
-- Greg from Minnetonka

A Letter From An Eagan Hockey Parent:
" I just wanted to tell you guys what a fantastic concept this is! My child loves playing, but is tiring of normal association hockey. There does not seem to be a recreational hockey league in Minnesota, not in our association anyway, for a kid who just wants to play recreational hockey and have a relaxed attitude about it. Even at the C level, pressure is put on these kids. My son is close to dropping out. We don't know of any options for a kid who really just wants to play "in house" hockey at a recreational level. However, the XL Hockey League opens up new options for kids like him."

Mariucci Arena

XLHL action at Mariucci Arena.

The league is similar in nature to a recreation hockey league and was created to offer players an organized, fun, non-threatening, no-check hockey game once every week.

Playing one hockey game a week will give you the time to snowboard, do your homework, skate outdoors, go on family vacations, spend holidays wherever you want and do whatever else you want!

But most importantly, the XL Hockey League keeps you in the game that you love!

Teams can be created with players in and around your community, so if you’re short on kids in your neighborhood, talk to neighboring communities. The league can also place individual players on teams.

This league will be Minnesota Hockey and USA Hockey certified and the recommended team size is 15 skaters and a goalie.

PHILOSOPHY
We believe that offering a league that focuses on skating, passing and scoring will be a fun experience and keep more players in the game.

Hockey is a game that can be played for a lifetime and by offering a fun and safe place to play, more kids will keep playing!

ARENAS AND PARKING
Need Information on Ridder Arena, Mariucci Arena or directions and parking tips?
Click here for Ridder Arena & Mariucci Arena.

Do not park on the street across from the arenas on 4th Street. Signs are posted that there is no parking on Sunday's and tickets are often issued.

On days when there are events on campus, meters are the best option.

The parking ramp west one block from the arenas on 4th Street is usually free on Sundays, when there are no events on campus. The large lot to the east of the arena is usually free as well when there are no activities on campus. Once again, meters are a great option so don't forget your quarters!
